How to Make This a Crockpot Chili Recipe

This beef chili recipe is meant to be cooked on the stovetop, however, I have made it in a crockpot. And….. It was just as delicious! However, I would suggest that you cook the ground beef on the stovetop in a skillet and drain the excess grease from the meat first. Then put the ground beef and all other ingredients into the crockpot. Cook it on low for 6 hours or on high for about 3 hours. Once it’s finished cooking to your liking, you can add a can of beans and cook for a few more minutes.

How to Make Chili

Learning how to make yummy and delicious chili is one of my greatest accomplishments! Haha! But seriously, making chili is very easy. Let’s go over how to make chili.

  1. Add a little olive oil to the pan and brown the ground beef. Then set aside. I like to drain the grease from the ground beef while I move on to the next step.
  2. Dice the onions and cook in 2 tbsps of oil over medium-low heat for 8 minutes, or until tender.
  3. Stir in the garlic and add 3 cups of water. Scrap the pan.
  4. Return the meat to the pan and add the spices and herbs. Cook on low for about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce.
  6. Cook for about 45 minutes on medium heat.
  7. Add beans and cook for another 10 minutes. (Optional)
  8. Serve with fun toppings!
