Making healthy granola is really easy! It’s also a cheaper option than buying store-bought granola. Granola from the store can be full of yucky fillers and additives. Making your own healthy granola lets you control the quality and cater the taste to your preferences. Below are step-by-step instructions for making homemade granola.   1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a bowl or directly on the baking pan.
  3. Spread all ingredients on baking pan in an even layer.
  4. Pop it in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. The longer you bake it, the crispier the granola will be. Just dont overbake it! After 10 minutes check the granola and stir it around. This will make sure the granola won’t stick together.

  • 2 cups Bob's Red Mill rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup almonds whole and shaved almonds both work
  • 1/2 cup pepitas roasted pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries dried cherries work well also


  • Heat oven to 350 degrees
  • On a large baking pan mix all ingredients well.
  • Spread into a thin layer on a baking sheet. Then bake for 20-25 minutes. Check after 10 minutes and stir. This will make sure the ingredients don' stick together too much or burn.
  • Let cool and serve. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place.
